Helping Your Body Heal, Move, and Thrive
Manual therapy is designed to restore balance, relieve pain, and support your body’s natural healing process.
Healing Through Hands-On Care
I graduated from Wellington College of Massage Therapy in 2005 and began my journey as a remedial massage therapist. In 2009, I furthered my studies at the Canadian College of Osteopathy, completing my final exams in 2015. I currently hold an associate (non-practicing) massage therapy license and a practicing license for manual osteopathic therapy in Manitoba. Any treatments I provide are covered under osteopathic therapy.
What Osteopathy Means to Me
Osteopathy is about recognizing dysfunction patterns in the body and facilitating its ability to heal itself. Instead of simply treating pain, I focus on identifying the root cause of dysfunction and working with the body's natural mechanisms to restore balance.
The core principles of osteopathy guide my approach:
- The rule of the artery is absolute – The body must maintain a proper blood supply and drainage to every structure.
- Structure governs function, and function governs structure – How your body moves is determined by its structure, but how it functions can also shape its structure over time.
- The body is a unit – Every part is connected, and changing one area affects others.
- The body strives for self-healing – It is always working toward homeostasis, and my role is to support that process.
Pain is often just a signal that the body has run out of compensation options. By tracing injury history, and movement patterns, and assessing functionality, I help patients address the true source of discomfort and dysfunction.
